Weltix Strengthens Governance: Giuseppe Frascà and Mario Bortoli Join the Board of Directors

The entry of two heavyweights from wealth management, private insurance, and quantitative finance accelerates the fintech's positioning as the benchmark regulated infrastructure for private assets in Italy.

MILAN, 2026 – Weltix S.p.A., the first integrated and regulated fintech infrastructure for the digital management of private assets in Italy, announces a major enhancement of its governance with the appointment of Giuseppe Frascà and Mario Bortoli to its Board of Directors.

The appointment of two highly prominent figures in the Italian and European financial landscape comes during a phase of strong strategic acceleration for Weltix. The objective is to consolidate the company's role as the leading technological and infrastructural partner for banks, advisory networks, and asset managers, backed by its three authorizations supervised by Consob, the Bank of Italy, and MIMIT (Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy).

Profiles of the New Board Members

Giuseppe Frascà is one of the leading figures in wealth management and private insurance in Italy and Europe. He holds a Law degree with a specialization in tax law from the Università Cattolica of Milan and began his professional career at the Zurich and RAS-Allianz groups. In 2001, he founded Farad International Luxembourg, an insurance broker that was among the first to introduce unit-linked and index-linked products under the Freedom to Provide Services (FOS) framework in Italy. In 2010, he co-founded Firstance (formerly First Advisory), today a leading European tech platform for private insurance solutions in wealth management, with over €40 billion in intermediated assets, where he currently serves as Founder & Board Member. From 2007 to 2010, he was also Chairman of the Permanent Technical Commission on Private Insurance established within AIPB (Italian Private Banking Association).

Mario Bortoli brings over twenty years of experience at the highest levels of asset management and quantitative finance. He holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Padua and earned a Master of Science in Computational Finance from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership roles at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson in London, Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena, Sanpaolo Alternative Investments, and Eurizon Alternative Investments—where he served as General Manager and Chief Investment Officer—as well as Fideuram Investimenti SGR, where he was Head of Multi-Manager Investments. In 2015, he co-founded Euclidea SIM, the first Italian digital wealth management firm, which was recently acquired by Banca Ifis. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Hercle, an institutional infrastructure that integrates fiat currencies, digital assets, and stablecoins for global payment flows.
